Stir Crazy Rainy Daze- Pacsun

Monday, January 2, 2017

Here in Alabama it has been raining non-stop since Saturday.  I don’t mean look at the lovely sprinkles kind of rain either, but torrential downpours.  I have spent three days in the house with both parents, two large wet dogs, and a cat.

The rain stopped for (literally) five minutes and I was able to do a fast shoot about an incredible sale that you don’t want to miss!

I'm not sure if I ever remember shopping at Pacsun before,  butttt when I was home during Christmas there was one in a shopping center nearby.  I ended up in PacSun and while looking at the sale rack, the lady told me it was buy one get TWO free. WHAT?... they were practically giving away clothes! So I grabbed this adorable jean skirt, sweater, and also a few other outfits that I will be showing you soon! I still can't believe that I bought EIGHT pieces for a little over $100.00!!!

Pacsun is currently having  50% off in-store items, buy one get TWO free off of clearance items, and free shipping when you spend over $49! Now...THAT is my kind of sale!

In Theory...The Cozy Little Cape Coat

Friday, December 23, 2016

Cape Coats are my current obsession.  Not only are they toasty warm and so darn chic... they are the epitome of cloaked glamour!  You can guarantee no basic girl is wearing one of these!

My all black look consists of a wool-cashmere blend cape by Theory, a ribbed turtleneck and faux leather leggings.  I had planned on wearing my over the knee suedes.. but decided on leopard lace ups for a little bit of attitude;)

An AWESOME alternative to the pricey Theory cape...

As I was brainstorming an idea for my next Bliss Blog Giveaway…I knew that I wanted to give something from a social good company, something fashionable… something that everyone was trying to get their hands on.   Well, Merry Christmas! The Bliss Blog has scored a love your melon beanie(which, I might add.. is currently sold out) for our Christmas giveaway!

Love Your Melon was created by college friends Zach and Brian with the idea of making sure every child with cancer had a hat to cover their heads.  With every hat that you purchase for yourself, 50% of the sales goes to Pinky Swear Foundation and Cure Search. For each Love Your Melon hat that you buy, an identical one is given to a child battling cancer. The companys cyber Monday sales alone generated more than $414,095 in donations! How awesome is that?!

If you have been on social media lately then you have most likely seen the Love Your Melon  beanies. They are one of the hottest fashion accessories on the market!  Don’t believe me?  Head over to the Love Your Melon website! Winter’s Wardrobe MVP

Friday, December 9, 2016

I’m officially naming the black turtleneck this Winters wardrobe MVP. Every year when winter rolls around, I can’t wait to dig in my closet and pull out out those cozy knits. You can dress them up, dress them down, wear them in or out. You probably have a black turtleneck in your closet—but if not, add one now. It’s one truly timeless piece that never goes out of style.

I like to Balance the turtleneck’s clean, simple lines with a  busy print, like these geo print pants from H&M. H&M is one of the few stores you can shop till' you drop without ever feeling guilty.

My AMAZING Photographer, Andrew Swindle Photography

A black turtleneck can make a woman feel confident and comfortable and look elegant all at the same time.  Here are a few of our most admired celebrity women who wore it well, proving this classic wardrobe essential has never, and will never, go out of style.

Jaqueline Kennedy

Marilyn Monroe

Audrey Hepburn

Lady Diana

Gwenyth Paltrow

Charlize Theron

Jennifer Aniston

“Turtlenecks are the most comfortable garment you can wear. They move with the body, and they’re flattering, too, because they accentuate the face and elongate the figure. They make life so easy: you can wear a black turtleneck to work and then afterwards throw on a jacket, and it becomes very dressy. You can go anywhere you like.” -Designer, Halston
